Andy Cahan is a solo performer and former member of the hit band, The Turtles, as well as a founding member of the Mothers of Invention off-shoot, Geronimo Black. Andy was born in Brookyln, New York in 1947. In his formative years, Andy was introduced to the sounds of classical music and The Beatles, eventually leading him to hone his skills on piano, drums, guitar, and song crafting.
With hard work and incredible synchronicity, Andy Cahan found himself among luminaries such as Jimi Hendrix, Ringo Starr, Frank Zappa, The Turtles, Dr. John (The Night Tripper), and Seals and Croft to name but a few. Some of Andy’s more memorable experiences include being the music director for The Grammy’s and American Bandstand, showcasing Little Richard and Chuck Berry.
Andy is currently on speaking and performing tours, while finishing his book, featuring his life’s work and memorabilia, titled, “The Most Famous Musician You Never Heard Of.”
